- Some of the developer docs which are going to be on the new CDROM will be
- available from AT's ftp site. That's a definitely a good move. :)

- Have you consider the following ?
-
- o What do you proposed to do with the existing Amiga that doesn't have a
- serial number ?
-
- o What kind of cost and benefits do you think this scheme would have ?
- ie.
- o in $$ what does it cost per machine ? I would rather see that $$
- go in for something more useful like a real time clock or SCSI.
-
- o How do you keep a users' programs to work on a loaner when their
- machine are in the shops ? Are you going pay $$$ for their losses ?
- What if they want to upgrade their machine ? Isn't that going to
- cost them time and money to have to upgrade all their software ? What
- if the software are no long supported ?
-
- o Would you actually think that the software companies would lower their
- prices ? I don't think so. Would you expect they to rush to the
- Amiga ? I don't think so either. Most of them left because the
- market was dying or too small. If AT and Amiga users can convince them
- otherwise, they might come back.
-
- o Do you know how easy is it to crack such a system ? Pretty every
- hardware hacker can do it in his/her sleep.
-
- Hell next thing you might want to do is have to have each Internet users to
- register with their government agency... BTW that's happening in 1996 in
- Communist China, but not for the same reasons.
